Cheetah
I worked at Cheetah for 2.5 years leading product – working on some of the hardest problems in bulk food fulfillment while providing a simple experience for restaurants.
Why Cheetah
Restaurants and other small business operate on razor-thin margins. Their work is a labor of love, and many do not survive. At Cheetah, we believe this is unacceptable. By reducing the inefficiencies in the food supply chain, we could provide better cash flow to businesses, allowing them to stay operating longer.
What I was responsible for
I owned the product roadmap and product development that led to Cheetah achieving a GMV run-rate of ~$150M, raising $70M in funding, and becoming a platform that thousands of restaurants and other SMBs rely on for their daily purchases of foodservice supplies. Some projects that I worked on:
- Owned transition to a vertically integrated supply chain from a 3P fulfillment model (Instacart → Amazon)
- Led a rebranding and redesign effort, working closely with a top branding agency (Moving Brands)
- Hired and managed a team of 4 product & program managers
- Owned the platform’s customer experience including digital catalog, ordering and delivery
- Owned transaction and payment infrastructure
- Managed inventory controls & integrations (NetSuite ERP and JDA WMS)
- Owned search & discovery experience in the app
- Owned in-app subscriptions and invoicing
- Owned fulfillment experience including ETAs, real-time order info, proof of delivery, and more
- Owned referral infrastructure
- Owned analytics infrastructure setup, scoping, and deployment (Segment, Amplitude + A/B testing, Customer.io, Appsflyer)
